Community Guidelines

MYZADAK is a place to share food, cooking and healthy-living ideas, and to work with nutrition professionals. These guidelines explain what is and isn't allowed in the community, how to report a problem, and what we do when the rules are broken. They are part of our Terms of Use. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

Where these guidelines apply

They apply to everything you share with other people in the MYZADAK app (shown on your phone as "زادك" or "Zadak"), including:

  • posts in the main Community feed, and the comments on them;
  • stories;
  • groups, group posts, group comments and group chat;
  • events;
  • your public profile: your name, username, photo, cover image, bio and links;
  • nutritionists' practice profiles;
  • reviews of nutritionists;
  • Care chat between clients and nutritionists.

They apply to everyone who uses these features, including nutritionists, verified accounts, and the owners, admins and moderators of groups. Before you first create content in the community, such as a post, comment, story, group, group chat message, event or review, the app asks you to accept these guidelines, and we keep a record of the version you accepted. You don't need to accept them again for every post. Reading, reacting, reporting, blocking and deleting your own content never need this step. By using the community features you agree to follow them.

MYZADAK is intended for people aged 18 and over, and you confirm that you are 18 or over when you create an account. If you believe someone under 18 is using the app, write to us at support@myzadak.com.

The short version

  • Be respectful. Disagree with ideas, not with people.
  • Keep it safe. Never share health or food advice that could hurt someone.
  • Be real. No fake accounts, fake titles, fake reviews or fake engagement.
  • Respect privacy. Don't share other people's personal information or private conversations.
  • Share only what you have the right to share.
  • Keep it relevant. The community is about food, cooking, nutrition and healthy living.
  • Tell us when something is wrong. Report it in the app or by email.

Before you post

  • Any signed-in MYZADAK user can see posts in the main feed. Posts in public groups can also be seen by any signed-in user. Posts in private groups, and chat in any group, are seen only by the group's members.
  • In some groups, the group's staff review posts before other members see them.
  • Any signed-in user can see a story while it is shown, which is for 24 hours.
  • Any signed-in user can see your public profile, including any Facebook, LinkedIn or WhatsApp link you add. A WhatsApp link usually shows your phone number.
  • If you join an event, other users can see that you are attending.
  • Other people can screenshot or save what you share, so think before posting anything personal. Photos can also contain hidden details, such as where they were taken.
  • You can delete your own posts, comments and stories, in the main feed and in groups, at any time. If you delete your account, the text you posted in the community, your chat messages and your reviews stay, shown as written by a "Former user", and the images in your posts are removed. If you want a post or comment to be gone, delete it before you delete your account. See Account deletion.

Be respectful

People come to MYZADAK with different bodies, budgets, health conditions, religions, cultures and ways of eating. Treat them the way you would want to be treated.

  • Disagree politely and stay on the subject. "I don't think this works, and here's why" is fine. Insulting the person is not.
  • Don't mock anyone's body, weight, appearance, cooking, eating habits, health or dietary choices, including religious dietary rules and fasting.

Keep it relevant

The community is for food, cooking, nutrition and healthy living. Keep your posts and comments on those subjects. In a group, also keep to the topic the group describes. We may hide posts that are clearly off topic, especially when they are repeated. To report one, choose the reason "Other".

What is not allowed

The examples below are not a complete list. We may act on content or behaviour that harms people or the community even if it is not listed here.

Harassment, bullying and threats

  • Insults, name-calling, humiliation, or contacting someone again and again when they don't want it.
  • Body shaming, including unwanted comments about someone's weight or photo.
  • Threats of violence or harm, including "jokes" that could reasonably be taken as threats.
  • Encouraging others to join in attacking, targeting or harassing someone, in the app or outside it.
  • Blackmail, or threatening to share someone's private information or images.

Hate speech and discrimination

Do not attack, demean or exclude people because of their religion or sect, ethnicity, race, nationality or origin, refugee or migrant status, sex or gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, illness, age, body size, or any other characteristic that people are discriminated against for. This covers slurs, harmful stereotypes, dehumanising language, and calls for exclusion or violence. You can discuss these subjects respectfully.

Sexual content and nudity

No pornography, sexually explicit images or text, sexual solicitation or nudity. Respectful discussion of health and the body, such as breastfeeding, nutrition in pregnancy or body changes, is fine when it is not sexual and shows no explicit nudity.

Child sexual abuse and exploitation: zero tolerance

We allow no content or behaviour that sexually abuses, exploits or sexualises anyone under 18. That includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, such as photos, text, drawings or AI-generated images. It also includes any attempt to gain a child's trust in order to abuse them, to contact a child sexually, or to pressure or blackmail a child. We remove such content, permanently ban the accounts involved, and report them to the competent authorities where the law requires.

If you come across it, report it straight away (see "How to report" below). Do not copy, save, forward or send the material to anyone, including us. Just tell us where you saw it.

Violence and graphic content

  • Graphic images of injury, death, gore, or cruelty to people or animals.
  • Praising, encouraging or glorifying violence, or supporting terrorism or violent extremism.

Ordinary food preparation, such as cutting, cleaning or cooking meat, poultry or fish, is fine.

Self-harm and suicide

Do not post content that encourages, teaches or glorifies suicide or self-harm, including harm through starving, purging or misusing medicines. You can talk about your own struggles or recovery in a supportive way.

If you are thinking about harming yourself, please reach out now to someone you trust, to a doctor or to a local helpline. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services. If a post worries you, report it, but remember that reports are not an emergency service.

Illegal content and activities

Do not use MYZADAK for anything illegal, or to promote, plan or help others do something illegal. Examples include fraud, theft, hacking or getting into other people's accounts, selling stolen or counterfeit goods, and sharing content you obtained illegally.

Regulated goods

Do not use MYZADAK to buy, sell, trade or give away:

  • illegal drugs, or legal substances used to get high;
  • prescription medicines, including weight-loss medicines and injections;
  • anabolic steroids, or supplements and "slimming" products that are banned, unregistered or sold with false health claims;
  • alcohol, tobacco or vaping products;
  • weapons, ammunition or explosives.

You can discuss these topics for information or support, for example asking how a prescribed medicine affects your appetite. For advice about your own medicines, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Impersonation

  • Don't pretend to be someone else: a real person, a public figure, a brand, a partner club or the MYZADAK team.
  • Don't claim to be a nutritionist, dietitian, doctor, pharmacist or other health professional unless you are one, and don't claim qualifications, licences or specialities you don't hold.
  • Only accounts that MYZADAK has approved as nutritionists may present themselves as nutritionists offering services through MYZADAK.
  • Don't claim to be verified when you are not, and don't copy or imitate the verification badge in your name, photo or posts.
  • Don't use a name, username or photo meant to mislead people about who you are.

Spam, scams and fake engagement

  • Posting the same or very similar content again and again, or mentioning large numbers of people.
  • Misleading links, chain messages, or headlines meant to trick people into clicking.
  • Scams: fake giveaways or prizes, "miracle" products, investment schemes, or asking people for money, passwords or payment details under false pretences. MYZADAK staff will never ask for your password.
  • Fake engagement: buying or trading likes, follows or comments, running several accounts to boost yourself, using bots or automated tools, or anything else meant to inflate likes, followers or points.
  • Misusing reports: filing false reports, or getting others to report something just to have it hidden.

Advertising

Do not use MYZADAK to advertise. That means no posts, stories, comments, group posts, chat messages or reviews whose main purpose is to promote a product, service, business, app or website, and no promotions sent to people who did not ask for them. You can still mention a product or place you really use, for example the brand of flour in your recipe. If you were paid, or given something for free, to mention it, say so clearly in the post.

Privacy violations

  • Posting someone else's personal information without their permission, such as their phone number, address, email, ID documents, workplace, health information or location.
  • Sharing screenshots or copies of private conversations, including group chat and Care chat, without the consent of the people in them. Sending them to us as part of a report is fine.
  • Posting photos of other people that they would not expect or want to be shared, especially in private settings, or posting identifying information about children.
  • Collecting other users' information, for example to contact or target them outside MYZADAK without their agreement.

Intellectual property

Share only content you created or have permission to use. Do not copy other people's photos, or recipes written in books, on websites or by other creators, and post them as your own. If you share someone else's idea or recipe, credit them and use your own words and photos.

If you believe your work was posted on MYZADAK without permission, email support@myzadak.com. Tell us where it appears in the app (for example the username and the date of the post) and how you can show the work is yours.

Dangerous health and nutrition misinformation

MYZADAK is about food and health, so false health claims can do real harm. Do not post content that could lead someone to damage their health. For example:

  • claims that a food, herb, drink, supplement or diet cures or prevents a serious disease such as cancer, diabetes or heart disease, or can replace medical treatment;
  • advice to stop, reduce or replace prescribed medication, such as insulin or blood-pressure medicine, with food or supplements;
  • extreme or unsafe diets, such as fasting for several days or very-low-calorie plans without medical supervision, "detox" or "cleanse" regimes that promise dramatic results, or restrictive diets for children or for pregnant or breastfeeding women without medical advice;
  • content that promotes eating disorders, such as encouraging starvation, purging, misuse of laxatives or diuretics, or extreme weight loss, or giving "tips" for hiding not eating;
  • unsafe food handling, such as saying undercooked chicken is safe, unsafe home canning or preserving, or giving honey to babies under one year old;
  • telling someone with a serious allergy that a food is safe for them when you cannot know that.

We don't fact-check what people post. Community content, including public posts by nutritionists, is general information, not medical advice. For your own health, talk to a doctor or another qualified professional.

You are welcome to share your own experience, ask questions and discuss research. Be clear about what is personal experience and what is evidence, and remember that what worked for you may not be safe for someone else. If you post a recipe the app created for you with AI, you are responsible for it like any other post: check it first, and don't present the estimated nutrition values as exact. See also Safety & Disclaimers.

Misleading reviews of nutritionists

Reviews help people choose a nutritionist, so they must be honest. The app lets you review a nutritionist only after a completed appointment.

  • Review only your own experience, and keep it truthful and relevant to the service.
  • Don't offer or accept money, discounts, free sessions or favours for a review, and don't threaten a bad review to get something.
  • Nutritionists must not arrange fake or paid reviews, or pressure clients to leave, change or remove a review.
  • Don't include health details about anyone else, or personal attacks. Criticising the service is fine. Abuse is not.

We may remove a review, or parts of it, if it breaks these rules.

Extra expectations for nutritionists and professionals

If MYZADAK has approved you as a nutritionist, people may give your words extra weight, so we expect more from you. In addition to the rest of these guidelines:

  • Be honest about who you are. Keep your practice profile accurate, including your qualifications, speciality, experience and languages. Claim only titles and licences you actually hold, and tell us if your professional status changes. We may ask you for evidence at any time.
  • Stay within your scope. Advise only within your training and the rules where you practise. Don't diagnose medical conditions, or tell clients to start, stop or change medication, unless you are qualified and legally allowed to do so. Refer clients to a doctor when something is outside your scope or looks urgent.
  • Protect client information. Use what clients share with you only to support them within your Care relationship. Don't share, screenshot or post client information anywhere, including in the community, unless the client has clearly agreed. This applies even without names if the client could be recognised. Respect a client's choice to withdraw a permission or end the relationship.
  • Disclose conflicts of interest. Tell clients and readers if you sell, are paid to promote, or have a business link with a product, supplement, brand, club or service you recommend.
  • Keep it professional. Be respectful and clear in Care chat. Never make romantic or sexual advances, and don't pressure anyone into booking or buying.
  • Take care in public. In community posts, share general, evidence-based information, not personal advice to people you haven't assessed.

You may describe your own services on your MYZADAK practice profile. If a nutritionist breaks these rules, we may remove their nutritionist status or suspend their practice. When we suspend a practice, the nutritionist's access to the data their clients shared with them stops.

These expectations also apply, where relevant, to accounts verified as coaches, gyms or brands. A coach badge is not nutritionist approval: if you are a verified coach, don't present yourself as a nutritionist, and don't give personal nutrition or medical advice unless you are qualified to do so.

Groups

Group owners, admins and moderators can remove posts and comments in their group, remove members, and mute members for up to 30 days. If a group requires approval, they also review posts before other members see them. Only owners and admins can ban members. Only the owner can clear the group's chat history, which hides earlier messages from members.

Group staff can describe extra expectations for their group, for example in the group description, but no group can allow anything these guidelines prohibit. Group staff must follow these guidelines too, use their tools fairly, and report serious problems to us rather than only removing a member.

How to report

In the app

You can report these directly in the app:

  • Posts in the main feed: open the post and tap the flag icon ("Report or block") at the top of the screen.
  • Group posts and group comments: open the menu on the post or comment and choose "Report post" or "Report comment".
  • Stories: open the story's menu and choose "Report story".
  • Nutritionists: open the nutritionist's profile and choose "Report nutritionist".
  • AI results: on a recipe or the recipe of the day, tap Report AI content; for a chef tip, an Ask the chef answer or an ingredient swap, tap the report option next to it.

For posts, group posts, group comments, stories and AI results, choose a reason and add any details that help. You can report each of these once. For a nutritionist, describe the reason in your own words. Only MYZADAK's administrators see your report, and we don't tell the person you reported who reported them.

By email

For anything without a report option in the app, email support@myzadak.com with the subject "Community report". This includes:

  • comments on main-feed posts;
  • user profiles;
  • groups, group chat and events;
  • Care chat;
  • reviews of nutritionists.

Tell us what the problem is and where it is: for example the person's username, the name of the group or event, which post or comment, and roughly when you saw it. Screenshots help. Never send us sexual images of minors or other illegal material. Describe where it is instead. You can also email us to add detail to something you already reported in the app.

If someone is in danger

Reports and emails are not an emergency service, and we may not see them straight away. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

Blocking someone

To block someone, open one of their posts in the main feed, tap the flag icon ("Report or block") and choose "Block author". Blocking hides their main-feed posts and their stories from you, and removes any follow between you in both directions. If either of you mentions the other in a main-feed post or comment, the mention doesn't work and the other person is not notified.

To undo it, open one of their posts (for example from their profile), tap the flag icon and choose "Unblock author".

Blocking may not hide the person everywhere in the app, for example in groups or chats. If someone keeps bothering you, report them and email us.

How moderation works

  • Automatic checks on main-feed posts. When you publish or edit a post in the main feed, an automated AI system checks its full text and hashtags. A post without photos appears straight away and is checked shortly afterwards. If the check flags the post, it is hidden from others until an administrator reviews it; if the check cannot reach a decision or cannot run, the post is hidden and checked again automatically, and it returns once a check passes or an administrator reviews it. An automated image-safety service checks the photos in a main-feed post before anyone else can see it: until then only you can see the post, and the app shows that its photos are being checked. People you mention may still receive a notification showing the beginning of its text. If the image check cannot run, the post stays visible only to you and is checked again automatically, and an administrator reviews it if the checks keep failing. A post whose image is flagged is held for review. If we switch automatic checking off, for example during a service incident, new posts may be published without it until it is back on, and we rely on reports in the meantime.
  • Reports. If several people report the same main-feed post, it may be hidden automatically until an administrator reviews it.
  • Human review. MYZADAK administrators review reports and held posts. They decide whether to restore the content or keep it hidden, and whether to take further action.

Automatic checks make mistakes in both directions: they can miss harmful content and can hold content that is fine. A main-feed post without photos can be visible to others for a short time before its check finishes. Stories, groups (their posts, photos, comments and chat), comments on main-feed posts, profiles and Care chat are not checked automatically: for them we rely on your reports and on group owners and moderators. We cannot review everything posted on MYZADAK. That is why your reports matter. Our Privacy Policy explains how we process information, including in these automated checks.

What happens if you break these guidelines

Depending on how serious the problem is, its context and your history, we may:

  • hide or remove the content;
  • restrict your use of some features;
  • suspend your account temporarily;
  • ban your account permanently;
  • remove a nutritionist's status or suspend their practice;
  • remove a verification badge;
  • hide or suspend a group;
  • report the matter to the competent authorities where the law requires, and share information with them as the law requires.

Serious violations, such as child sexual abuse material, credible threats of violence or scams, can lead to an immediate permanent ban without warning. If your account is banned, do not create another one to get around the ban.

If your account is suspended or banned, any Premium subscription you bought through Google Play is not cancelled automatically. You can cancel it at any time in the Google Play Store app. Refunds are handled under Google Play's policies.

Questions and appeals

If you think we got it wrong, for example by hiding your post or suspending your account, email support@myzadak.com with the subject "Moderation appeal". If you can, write from the email address of your MYZADAK account. Tell us your username, what was affected and why you think the decision was wrong. We aim to review appeals and reply by email. You can use the same address for any question about these guidelines.

Changes to these guidelines

We may update these guidelines as MYZADAK and its community change. The current version is always on this page, with its version and date at the top. If we change them significantly, the app asks you to accept the new version before you next create content in the community.
